WSR-BMW confirmed as constructor entry
The Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship will feature four contructor entries in 2015, after it was today announced that BMW will run as a works’ outfit.
Confirmed at this morning’s Season Launch, West Surrey Racing will duke it out for the coveted crown this year after their success in 2014.
Series regulations were amended back in 2009 to open up the manufacturers’ championship to individual teams building their own cars – with Team Aon being eligible for the crown for three seasons despite running without Ford backing.
All three cars of Sam Tordoff, Rob Collard and Andy Priaulx will be eligible to score points.
The BMW team joins Honda, MG and Infiniti in the fight for manufacturer/constructor honors.
